The equipment is battery operated, consists of a half or full facepiece, breathing tube, battery-operated blower and particulate filters. It consist of a powered fan which forces incoming air through filters for delivery to the user. The fan and filters may be carried by the user or with some units the air is fed to the user via tubing while the fan and filters are remotely mounted. PAPR Systems are used in hot, dirty environments where mobility is required and supplied air is not an option.
