Strippable coatings are those that are applied for temporary protection and that can be readily removed. They are composed of such resins as cellulosics, vinyl, acrylic and polyethylene, they can be water based, solvent based or hot-melt. Peelable coating clear film is still the best method of preventing scratches and abrasions and strips cleanly away from the surface leaving no residue. It will also act as a masking against paint overspray.
