The whole process of temperature control in a refrigeration system depends entirely upon proper control of the various system pressures. Therefore, it becomes important that certain parts of the system have their pressures rigidly controlled or regulated. These pressures are attainable with either upstream or downstream regulating valves, that is pressure regulators.
